I'm having pork tenderlion with cherry sauce. I'm making it out of cherry preserves, my sugar cubes, Balsamic vingear and rum. I'll be serving it on a bed of brown rice and salad.

Recipe called for brown sugar and wine but I thought rum would go well with it.

hubby picked up some Chipoltle for dinner on his way home from work
I had a veggie burrito bowl with black beans and fajita veggies, salsa and guac - no cheese, no meat, no rice. I added some more black beans from home.
Hubby had some meat, bean and cheese thing w/chips and guacamole...we still have some guac left over!

grew up in secular household, bubbe from Kiev JamieLynn...

anyway, I had tuna salad sandwich and omelette and later was in great mood for hot cereal so I had that. Sometimes I like to be quite eclectic

We are still redoing the den/kitchen space. We were too tired too cook. There is a new place down the block called Cork and Pig. Hmm, it is in an old service station. So how good could it be? Awesome! The kitchen is in the bay area. When we got there they had the bay door raised. The aroma was amazing. They have fire roasted pizza. We had the marhgerita with fresh basil. We thought we would share pizza and salad. Ohhh, the salad.... grapes, grape tomato, cabbage slivers, toasted almond, background of pesto, rosemary and thyme. Groan. We had enough to take back for late snacks. The bonus is that the waiters voice was so very deep that I could almost feel it.

Chicken sandwich and orange juice. Also very easy to make. I just got chocolate Cheerios at the grocery store. That may be dessert.

Chicken tenders, rice and beets.

Lunch was an interesting concoction that actually was very good. Bacon cut up small, diced onion and diced celery, all cooked together. Pork gravy with ground cumin and macaroni, all stirred together. Budget was very tight and I went shopping today with $30 to buy for the week for 5 people. Luckily, mother gets some money on Thursday and hubby will have a better paycheck on Friday.
