Tonight, family had cheese manicotti with garlic toast. I had a dinner that was a bowl type frozen thing that had black-eyed peas, brown rice and veggies. And I had a piece of pita bread with no milk. We also had peaches.

Home made burgers, oven baked fries and tea. Soo good, hubby made it for me after I did an 11 hour work day on my feet. He is so nice to me.

Say, who has an easy and delicious mac and cheese old fashioned recipe? (Thanks to Murderegina who gave me a mac and cheese jones!) There are many on the net, but it would be nice to get a tried and true one if you please?

Oh no. I'm going to have to shield my eyes when someone's posts it. Mac and cheese...my only weakness

Well - this evening daughter had a cooled down tomato soup and son, mother and I had a Curry/lime chicken, boiled red potatoes and steamed broccoli as well as the Curried Carrot Raisin salad from the Dairy-free thread. Son put blue cheese dressing on his broccoli and I used a tofu sour cream on my broccoli and potatoes.

We had Mongolian beef on Basmati rice, and sugar cookies.

Hopefully later there will be biscuits and orange juice.

My husband is the best. I did another long day, 7:30am to 7:00pm, ech. I came home and he had cooked a small steak, a crispy potato puff, fried yellow squash and whole corn on the cob. Wow!

Myself, I would have loved the whole thing. Dogmom, sounds totally yummy!

Tonight, I am fixing pork loin chops cooked in a pear nectar with raisins and cinnamon. Pasta with a olive oil and lime dressing and peas with the same olive oil and lime dressing. Sliced Florida Tangelos on the side.

We are going to Lone Star Steakhouse. Vacation and good coupons for chicken sandwiches.

I am going to eat a baked sweet potato as my side. Fun times!

Roast beef, brown gravy with onions, mashed garlic pototatoes, green beans with a sprinkling of currants.
It was my turn to cook. My husband was glad because he was tired.

Do we have these things in common too?!?!

I'm not vegan, but I am a vegetarian and sometimes eat vegan things. My husband is also not vegetarian, but plays well with me at the dinner table.

Tonight I had a baked potato with butter and sour cream, and a big crunchy salad with cauliflower, peas, raisins, yellow peppers, craisins, bac-os, croutons and thousand island dressing. Hubby had steak, salad and baked potato.

thanks Kristina-

PatsCats! yeah I guess we do. I was actually vegan at one time and now can't call myself that technically. I wear leather shoes and use local honey. I avoid dairy but will eat certain fish, local/pastured eggs and poultry. I follow a whole-foods, plant-based diet consisting mostly of whole as opposed to refined soy products, whole, sprouted grains, lots of fruits and veggies, lots of olive oil and tomato products, fermented foods, raw foods. Minimal to no "white" anything.
I like to experiment with different salad combinations- the one you made looks good
btw - will PM you will remains of previous that I had to re-adjust-

since it's about 8:30am here, not sure what I'll be having yet tonight. I have 3-bean chili and whole grain bread that seems would be a good plan-

Thanks.

This is my stepmother's birthday.

It is the third anniversary of my life with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

My husband took vacation as this day really frightens me. So far so good.

It's one of my favourites. I love greens and all vegetables. Yummy!! (No, I'm not strictly a vegetarian, just prefer veges over meat).
