He can give you thyroid replacement medication.

Also B vitamins and exercise are good for boosting thyroid function naturally.

My thyroid doesn't work right so I have to take a synthetic thyroid pill every morning for the rest of my life. My doctor monitors my blood levels and makes adjustments to the dosage. She told me that one of the main symptoms is lack of energy.

My doctor told me that she starts with the smallest strength medication and then increases it as needed. That's better than getting medicine that is too strong and reducing it. So, start small, check the blood, and then increase the medicine, if needed. She checks my blood every few months.

I am taking levothyroxine 150 MCG (one tablet daily) for life due to a thyroid disease called "goiter".

Goitre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My doctor told me that the cause is a lack of iodine and he said that goiters are common in Europe where people don't eat fish due to polluted water. I told him that I still use iodized salt and eat fish that has iodine so he thinks that in my case, it could be heredity. I grew up in a foster home so I have no idea about my family's medical history. So I have to take the medicine to prevent cysts around thyroid glands from growing bigger.

If the OP was not talking about goiters (swelling of thyroid glands), then my apology for off topic.
