You think no one over 70 should be allowed to drive.

Flip-flops are everyday wear.

Shoes are for business meetings and church.

No, wait -- flip-flops are good for church, too, unless it's Easter or Christmas.

Sweet tea can be served at any meal.

An alligator once walked through your neighborhood.

You smirk when a game show's "Grand Prize" is a trip or cruise to Florida.

You get annoyed at the tourists who feed seagulls.

All the local festivals are named after a fruit.

A mountain is any hill 100 feet above sea level.

You think everyone from a bigger city has a northern accent.

You know the four seasons really are: almost summer, summer, not summer but really hot, and Christmas.

Anything under 95 is just warm.

You've hosted a hurricane party.

You understand why it's better to have a friend with a boat than have a boat yourself.

Bumper stickers on the pickup in front of you include:

You were eight years old before you realized they made houses without pools.

You were 12 when you first met someone who couldn't swim.

You get angry when people say, "Florida isn't really part of the SOUTH."

You've worn shorts and used the A/C on Christmas.

You know what the "stingray shuffle" is and why it's important!

You recognize Miami-Dade as "Northern Cuba." The south ends in the Ocala/Gainesville area, and then North Cuba begins.

You might be a Floridian if

I thought this was funny, most of it is true!

I bet you thought it was warm!!

Last weekend was warm and wonderful! Now it is chilly again for the next few days. lows in the 50s and highs in the 70's... Thanks to the cold front that came through yesterday.

yep, i told my mom, " do you want 20's degree or 66's?" she said, "shush".

Lucky for us that last week was perfect weather all week except it was raining in the early morning but beautiful in florida. Once we got back home last friday and saw snow came down but it was only flurries. Today is the worst one that we got more flurries but the grounds do not hold snow any longer and they are melting fast.

J/K here! No insult to you Northerners!...Ahh, I can't deal with cold weather! And yeah...it's been freeky cool here for a few days!....My A/C is off and almost turned the heat on last night!...But just put on 2 pairs of socks and my old flannel granny long gown! Snuggled up with my Pomeranian....and all was warm!...Sunny days ahead!...Old man sun is already "peeking" thru the clouds!

I've been to Florida many times, and one year I got a tattoo. My friend and I went to Disneyworld the next day and I chose to wear a bikini top with shorts so the tattoo could dry off and not rub on my clothes. It was about 70 that day (late February.) Which is a piece of cake considering I'm from Minnesota. And all the other people in the ride lines at Disneyworld looked at me funny - several even asked if I was crazy "for wearing shorts and a bikini in frigid temperatures".

Yea, I read all that. There's one thing I hate about Florida -- bugs, especially frogs and ants. Some friends of mine gave me some warnings about snakes to watch out for!

It's funny. I don't live in Key West, but near there. When my parents travel to Miami, they always say ..."We're going up on the mainland tomorrow." It's incredibly funny to me, even now, and I've lived here for 10+ years now!

Just like my friends from Ohio. That are visiting Florida for spring break. Yesterday! Windy and chilly. I had a pair of jeans, and a t-shirt on. They had their bathing suits and shorts on. They asked me if I wanted to join them to see the Manatees. I said no. It is pretty windy and chilly, out on the beach. They just laughed and told me, that it is very warm compare to where they live.

I love Florida, I been there many times and man, it's soooo warm! I love it... but sadly I live in State of Washington where it's freezing! Last year in April, I was visiting Orlando Florida for 15 days and I loved it, it was so warm. Even though it was warm, I wore Jeans and sweatshirt most of the time because I get cold easily and I do consider 70 to 80 degrees a bit chilly. But On hot days while I was in Florida, I was just wearing shorts and tank top with bathing suit under it.

I may not be Floridian.... but I am in heart.... I just love it!

I have had a person from up north tell me that even when the temps are down in the 40's it feels so cold to them... Due to the humidity level is still somewhat there. They tell me that a dry cold, is more bearable like the dry heat.

Dunno if it is true..or not.

I wouldn't know, but I CAN tell you that I'm from MD, so anything below 60 degrees is freakin' cold to me! Of course, now that I live in FL and have for 10or so years, everything below 70 degrees is freakin' cold to me!

Yup! I know what it was like since I grew up in Indiana and now a Floridan for almost 7 years. It certainly gets funny!

It has to do with the body temperament adjusting once living in Fla after a while, rather after 2 or 3 years depending on.

Say if it gets 60 degrees here being a Floridan, it feels mere like 45 degrees aka midwest's 45 degrees in a sense... while for a midwestern or easterner it would feel like warm, not so cool.

This friend, I am speaking of, when she said... It feels colder in Florida than does in Colorado.

She said that the dry cold is more bearable. The humid, damp, misty, cold was worse. She moved back up to Colorado, before the winter was over.

I do understand how one can adapt, and adjust to the Florida weather.

Many do say the humidity effects the temps one way or another.

Dunno... I have never seen snow, or experienced the dessert dry air.
