The correct answer would be something like:

"As time increases, the overall mass decreases and eventually tapers off until there is no more variation in mass over time. A suitable equation to describe the graph may be a transformation of f(x) = e^(-x)."

It was supposed to be a joke.. that's what a student wrote for an answer when s/he didn't know the answer.
