I was with a friend all day shopping for prom dress for her daughter. I told my friend I was headed to her car to bring some of the things she had bought. Her hands were full as well as mine with shopping bags. As I approached her car I noticed she was trying to get the hatch to open up with the lights flashing from the bumper. I stood there waiting for the hatch to lift open for a few minutes.
Meanwhile in all of this, my battery is running low and I could tell from the fact that other cars were starting to sound different. I see my friend coming to me and she is laughing and has a huge smile on her face. Out of her mouth I hear " What are you? Deaf? " and I reply very quickly " Why Yes I am," She stopped in her tracks walking to her car and literally turned three shades of red and tried to apologize. I told her not to because it happens all the time. She could not stop laughing to the point she peed in her pants.. I gave her the gift of laughter.
