*Ralph and Edna*


*Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't
mean they don't love you with all they have. *

*Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they
were walking past the hospital swimming pool,Ralph suddenly jumped into the
deep end. *

*He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.*

*Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him
out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she
immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now
considered her to be mentally stable.*

*When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and
bad news.*

*The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to
rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the
person you love... I have concluded that your act displays sound
mindedness.*


*The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt
right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'*

*Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. *

*How soon can I go home?'*

My best friend was put a psych ward after her parents forced her to give her baby up b/c they where worried what the Jones would say. My friend was given shock treatments and she said they hurt like HELL . She die of a brain tumor 40 yo . I see nothing funny about mental illness. I have a great sense of humor but I draw a line that what I think is funny.
 
Wow.. another personal attack....
If you cant laugh at one joke, you cant laugh at any joke, period.
 
Maybe those who dont like jokes need to be blocked from viewing the Joke thread. Just sayin...

Maybe people who are overly sensitive shouldn't be allowed to post at all. :cool2:

She didn't attack you. She said she doesn't find mental illness funny.

You are old enough to figure out by now that not everybody likes everything you do.

Try harder to just roll with the punches.

Like the joke about immigrants... wasnt targeting anyone , but those who took it personally dont need to read or comment, same with this or the next joke. If offended , ignore it. i can relate to a lot of jokes, but do I take it personally? Do we need to know about anyones past/friend..ect... nope. Its not about them/you or anyone else, thats why its titled as a joke. It is FICTIONAL just like movies, books, ect...
No didnt attack me, but attacks the joke...ignore it it it bothers you.

I don't suffer from insanity I enjoy every minute of it!!! :D

I had posted that both my sisters had a mental break down b/c of the abuse that went on in my family , I am not being overly sensitive about , I had seen what my 2 sisters had to go through to get better ,it was very painful for me seeing both my sisters stuffer so much. There was nothing funny about it. If people do not like what I post they can put a block on me , it's not up you to say who can and can't post here . And my comment was to Loveblue not the OP

Sometimes I feel a little impatient with you and wish you would read more carefully.

I actually defended your right to feel uncomfortable with the joke.

I understand, and not everyone needs to know everyones private/personal life. Its just feeding the fire for some lurkers or freaks out there.
