Hello. My name is Sam. I am 25, male, and Deaf. Both of my parents are Deaf. I'm looking to become a teacher of the deaf and heard about this site through facebook. Don't know what else to say. I am going to take a look around. Nice to meet you all.

Do you want to be a deaf teacher in an oral-only program or in bilingual/bicultural program for deaf children. Or do you want to be a teacher for hearing kids?

I'm still in school, so I am not sure where I will end up! I do use speech as my primary language (I have two cochlear implants) but my family raised me with ASL.

Lucky you got ASL growing up. Many of us didnt and we suffered. Glad that you had it.

I hadn't noticed his intro until it was bumped this evening by your post, or I'd have given encouragement sooner. My daughter's teachers mean the world to our family.
