Just some background, I'm a college kid who is hearing...but I'm also -not- an ASL student. I just decided, at least as of now, to teach myself ASL because...well, I think it's a beautiful language to learn and thought I might as well join a forum to supplement it AND meet some friends

to AllDeaf forum. At least you might start learning how to sign with the person who knows ASL because if you try to sign by yourself, you might not sign the right way with the right expression. So learn from someone who knows ASL especially in college if not your own. That way it will be easy to make the correction. I don't know where you live. So someone here will give you the tip of where to find sign language course. Good luck.
