Question Canadian Newbie with questions

Hi there! I was looking for information on deafness and I stumbled across this forum. Glad I did! Looks like a great place!

Let's see... what can I tell you about myself? I'm from Canada, but I have visited and lived in several countries in Europe and North America. I love to travel! I am a voracious reader and an Internet addict. A bookworm and a computer geek. As for why I'm here... well... I'm worried that I might be losing my hearing. I'm here for info and advice.

I've already posted in another subforum here, so I won't duplicate that post here. Any suggestions or insights would be welcome though.

Thanks,
- Symbol

P.S. Please understand, it's not that I'm horrified at the idea of going deaf or being hard of hearing. I just want to know what's going on and what I should do about it.
Thanks again!

Welcome. My advice: Go to an audiologist and be tested.

Ditto welcome, and ditto go to an audiologist--not someone primarily a hearing-aid seller, but a clinician with a graduate diploma of audiology in plain view on the wall.

to AllDeaf. Just like others suggested in this thread: go to Audiologist and have a hearing test.

to AllDeaf forum. That is the first step you have to go through is go to the audiologist and get a hearing test and then you will find out how much hearing loss you have. I hope you enjoy reading and posting all the threads here. Have fun with us. See you around.
