HOH and learnin' sign!
|
Hey guys,
I've started losing my hearing, and it gave me the opportunity to begin learning sign language (BSL), and I love it so much. The only thing is there is no deaf club as far as I am aware where I live--I do think that there is a weekly meeting group somewhere, but I'm not too sure. So, anyway. I'm here to make friends. I am a linguist (and I'm doing a course on it despite losing my hearing!) and because of this I love learning languages. I was wondering if I could make friends who speak ASL (I have family in America who are planning to adopt a Deaf baby (my sis-in-law and brother both know quite a bit of ASL) if they are able, if not a Deaf baby then they plan on adopting a child with another disability) and even JSL, as well as BSL. Ciao! InnocentOdion |

Thanks DeafMonkey. ![]() I'm from the UK, more specifically, England. If you don't mind, can you explain more about the Germany and BSL relation? That sounds really interesting.
