Lightbulb Translating Sign Language into Text.....

Hello Everyone,
My name is Amal, I'm a student at an American University in United Arab Emirates ( Where Dubai is located).
I'm working with a group on a computer science project which involves designing a system that translates sign language into text. The objective of this system is basically making communication easier between deaf and hearing people.
An important part of this project is to interview deaf people to learn how the system can be most conveniently built for them. The technical details of the project will be discussed in the coming posts. It shouldn't be something very complicated though.
Before I begin asking questions, I'd like to make sure that this is OK with everyone here. Please reply your approval or disapproval. Here's my email should anyone want to contact me privately: ashtal.a@gmail.com.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Amal
