hey you guys, sup? i just registered on here because i was surfing on google for some informations on theatre with subtitles or close captions. So i found this site and found some info about it in my city. i found one theatre that provides it. I was pissed because it's not AMC. :eek3:

so ya, anyway, i thought i'll register and intro myself to ya guys. I am hard of hearing and i wear digital hearing aids and i honestly don't sign language. I can speak orally and go to a regular college. I never really went any deaf school.

Right now i am majoring in biology with interest into going to medical school, ya my MCAT is next month..wish me luck! :fingersx:

anyway, i'll chat around later with you guys and learn some more info about this deaf culture because i've yet to find some good secrets and good uses of the ADA.

see ya and thanx for making me feel welcome!

Captioned movies

Hi, welcome!

I get so frustrated with the lack of theaters showing captioned movies in my area! I've also noticed that people in wheelchairs have a hard time with theaters with stadium seating---attendants always want to seat them in the very front!!! Who wants to sit in the very FRONT of any theater???

We've got a looooong way to go to adequately accommodate people with disabilities and Deaf/HoH people.

:pissed:

Sorry to hear that.

When I go to AMC Movie Theater at the Tallahassee Mall to see a movie that I'm interested in, I don't encounter any wheelchairs.
