Hi! Hope you are all well and stuffs. While I am hearing/Hearing, i'd like to get to know you all anyway. My close friend and roommate was HoH when I met her a couple years ago, but now is Deaf. She is taking ASL, and she has taught me a lot of ASL and cool stuff about Deaf culture. I'm not at all fluent, but I can understand a little bit. I want to know more about Deaf Culture and ASL, and thought this would be a good place to start. But if it would be a bad idea to be here, let me know, and I'll leave, because this is (supposed to be) a Deaf only forum.

Yay! I am glad that I can stay. I've always been fascinated by different cultures, Deaf culture is no exception. I have found that I like using ASL a lot, and will even use it to talk to myself ocassionally. It is also really handy when me & my friend want to "whisper" to each other from across the room.
