ASL Student from California

Hello everyone,
I am a hearing student at Shasta college. I am recently 18 years, the oldest of 5 children. I am in my second semester of sign language class. So far it has been an eye opener for me. I do not know very many deaf people and would really like to meet some individuals that would be welling to help me understand and learn from them. I have gone to different events for the deaf community in Redding CA. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Sure hope you'll meet a great number of deaf/hoh individuals to help you out...with the sign-language...understanding this culture...understanding what helps us and what doesn't, etc.,....Hope you'll find what useful information and answers that you are looking for and that your stay will be a pleasant one in here also!
