New to being deaf.

Hi, my name is Angie. I am 30 almost 31 and I am losing the rest of my hearing. Been partially deaf since I was 4. Didn't realize how hard it was going to be. We don't have much of a deaf community where I live, so on-line is the best way to talk to other people about it.

Hi Angie!!!There are a lot of progressive deaf (meaning they may have been Hoh as kids and then lost their hearing) on this site.
Jump in...........find out local events etc etc etc...the deaf community can be very welcoming to hoh/progressive loss folks......You might not be looking in the right places you know.

It can be hard for the person to make the move though, well for me anyway!

Oh and Angie!
