Hi, I'm Don from New Mexico
Hi, my name is Don and I'm from Socorro, NM USA. I'm so glad I found this site. I've searched quite a few, but none that were like this one! Hope to meet many new friends. I'm starting to learn ASL, but it's kinda' hard to learn from books. Having said that, I've learned quite a bit. It's helped me in many situations, as my daughter knows a little and can help me when I can't either hear something (someone) or don't understand. I am hard of hearing, and have even lost it (my hearing) a couple of times. Hope to meet many of you!!

Only we know!!
Thanks for the welcome! I would call it blockage. I went to the doctor & they tried a cleaning, but without success. It got so bad I would drop (baking) pans & stuff, not realizing how loud I was being; my family let me know that. I did self cleaning (without success) and one day it just popped. It hurt like hell, but I could hear (better). I haven't totally regianed my hearing but it did improve. I also have tinitus. I've had that ever since chemotherapy (yeah, I had cancer)! I know it sounds crazy, but we each have experiences in life that only we know about. We're all individuals and only we know how we feel. Thanks again for the welcome & I hope this explains a little about my situation.
