Videos can now be embedded in posts

From now on, if you paste a video URL in your Post, the video will automatically show. This is also supported in Visitor Messages and Social Groups.

Video sites supported:

- YouTube
- Yahoo
- MySpace
- Google
- Amazon

For exmaple, I copied and pasted the URL of a YouTube video and I get this:

I see that it will automatically convert the full URL, what about the short cut ones, such as what we do here? Would it effect us too, yes? :hmm:
 
You can still use the [yt] BB code and copy/paste the short URL, but in this case it's not necessary, just copy and paste the entire URL and it'll work also.
 
Great! Being a computer dummy, I need to know if I can just take any clip from the Internet and paste it here just like we now put up text URLs without violating any rules/laws?

As Alex said, it can be any video from...

- YouTube
- Yahoo
- MySpace
- Google
- Amazon

... as long as the content of those videos follow AllDeaf guidelines. No racist videos. No degrading videos. Etc.

Just look at the rules. :thumb:

If there's a video you're not sure about, you can always ask a moderator. :)

That is a cool feature that I have used on a few hearing vBulletin-supported forums for a long while, and I love it.

I have been tried with vendetta1.mpeg and vendetta2.mpeg but it doesn't work... :(

I clicked "Windows Media Player" and then click "File" and ask me which I want to open... I click "open URL"... I pasted vendetta1.mpeg and then click "OK" but it doesn't work... :(
 
That is pretty awesome to have an easier way to paste in video links. :thumb:
 
Wonder if these links would work via high speed to view as it would be difficult via dailup (which I unfortantely have and that does suck big time) and more?
