I don't understand something,how can members see my profile if they are not on my friends list?

pepsi, if you wanted your profile private
go to CP user button click it and look left of your screen and go to settings and option and click on edit options and scoll down and see visitor messaging
click check those 2 boxes there and there it is block from everyone who is not on your list

That is because every member's profile is a viewable profile. There is no other way to control who can view your profile because it is designed for the public. However, If you don't want any of your information on your profile, you can edit and remove it.

If you are referring to the visitor's message on your profile, You can set the control on who can or can't view your visitor's message. If you don't want anyone to view your visitor's message, you would need to go to the User CP and scroll down to Settings & Options >> Messaging & Notification (the visitor's messaging) and check/uncheck these to your desire.
