I really want to get a new (bte) HA. I dont like my current one b/c it's a digital (bte) HA with a negative feedback. I have my hearing aid turn all the way up. When the battery gets low, it's not loud enough. I just switched health insurance from Medicare to United American Part D. I do know Medicare do not cover HAs and I have no idea if UA Part D cover them or not. I looked everywhere and nothin. Anyway, does anybody know or have a list of health insurances cover HAs? That would be great. I do not want to pay two thousand dollars out of my pocket just for a behind the ear hearing aid. Im ready to go back to phonak, starkley sucks. Anybody recommend me a phonak bte ha? Thanks! I hope I post this thread in right section. :ty:

Some Medicaid programs cover hearing aids (each state varies). Other than that, I have no idea. There's always vocational rehab that will pay for the hearing aids if you need them for school or work.

We can't recommend ha's since we aren't professionals but there are many phone users on here I believe..I use phonak naidas myself

I talked to my Audiologist a while back, told me medicaid only pay about $200.00. I should've asked him what HIs cover HAs the most.. :hmm: I remember I didnt have to pay a dime for a new bte ha b/c I had insurance before it ran out.
