Question Phonak iCom bolume control problems

Hi all, I'm wearing a pair of Phonak Audeo IX Smart HA's and am very satisfied with them. I recently purchased a Phonak iCom/TV Link package to use via my iphone 4 and have been a little disappointed in the iCom performance so far. It works beautifully in areas where it's relatively quiet but, get yourself in a noisey situation and it's very hard to hear your call alert or the voice of your caller. Turning up the vol on the phone doesn't seem to have any effect on it via the HA's.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to up the vol on the iCom, iphone, HA's, etc....
Any help would be appreciated.
Jim
