Nope, he was fully hearing. But you forget, I am fluent in ASL. Can't ignore me that easily. Was as in deceased.

good to hear. As tempting as it was to make a joke I just can't bring myself to it even if you are fully adjusted. I say things to be funny, not to be disrespectful, rude or to hurt anyones feelings. May your late husband rest in peace.

There is, of course, another pet which most people keep away from-skunks! Consider in due course.

Related to ferrets! And both when descented make excellent pets. I used to have a ferret, "Bob" when my kids were at home.

We really loved him.

Descented skunks are still musky, a lot muskier than a descented ferret or even a regular ferret. And they're more like giant cats... ferrets are like permanent puppies.

I used to want a skunk until I found out they were really just a muskier version of a calm cat.

No experience with "pet skunks"-so far. None in the immediate neighbourhood either. Missing much?

Neither Souggy or I had a skunk. Just ferrets. Ferrets are very funny. You might like to try one for a pet.

They tend to go crazy with joy and hop up and down and back away from you laughing.

This is known as the "weasel war dance." It is really cute.

Check with Professor SKY, my cat, if she wants a ferret around the place? Guinea pigs seems to be more friendly pets without much smell according to my son. He has 2!

Wirelessly posted

Guinea pigs are alright. They smell a lot more than Rou.

They do make good feeders for cats though.

Ferrets, Skunks, Guinea Pigs, Cats - can they been trained to be 'hearing' companions I wonder? Well they do say companionship can be considered a 'cure' of sorts......:-D

As for cats, ever heard the phrase "it's like herding the cats"?

As for the rest of the animals, I dunno about them.
