I did not intend to depress anyone, but I am a type 1 diabetic and had heard from some friends that such conditions if not kept under controll could speed up my progressive loss which is also genetic.

I know you don't mean to depress anyone.

In fact I think the article valuable and is true; at least I can somewhat relate to the article, because my father had a bad heart. So, the article also makes me ponder about other things, such as like you said, heredity and genetic mutation, etc.

At least for most people, the article can help them open their eyes and encourage them to do something before it is too late.

Thanks for the posting. And, I hope you keep your diabetes under control, too.
