Documentary Photographer seeking deaf getting cochlear implants

I'm a documentary photographer and a child of two deaf parents. I am actually hard of hearing myself, from Rochester NY where I went to school for photography. I'm very interested in documenting someone as they are preparing to get a CI, before, during and after. Currently I'm based in Burlington VT but can travel. Being fluent in ASL and familiar with deaf culture, this is a topic of great interest to me, please feel free to email and tell me about yourself, or comment here.

CI's are of interest to me because they are such a divisive emotional issue within the deaf community. But please, no anti/pro CI debates in this thread! Only those who are interested in sharing their story.
