I really hope I am not going to appear rude,
Hello, my name is Lauren. I am currently doing a research project on cochlear implants, the scientific aspects. I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to offer me any information on their cochlear implant. For example, how is works or what the surgery entails. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Again, I truly hope that I am not being rude. Please let me know if I am. I am simply trying to further my horizons and not be so close-minded on those who are different than me.
Thank you! |

Just check some of the old threads in here. There is a wealth of info for you to review. Also, check out the web for info...plenty of it out there to get the basics down. Once enlightened, ask away!

But "scientific aspects".... what do you meant with that. A blog which has "scientific aspects" - lots of them is by Michael Chorost. Have a look there. And check out many other websites. On the blog for my daughter, there are some links to these - as well as links to other CI-users. Looking forward to hear some of your questions.
