Not sure if I understood you right. You had implant removed several months ago because of bad experiences/side effects. How can you have a "upgrade" surgery if you don't have CI anymore? Are you talking about "reimplant"???

Considering how many times you told us you hated your CI, I don't think it would be in your best interest to be re-implanted/upgraded.

I suggest you talk to your doctor first and make sure you get a second opinion. So far I have no probem with my C.I., they would not have given me CI if the doctor didn't think I be in any danger so far I been fine for almost 3 years now.

Did the surgeon who removed the first one find a reason for the problems you had with your first implant?
A new implant would probably not be in your best interests unless they found a reason for the headaches/pain you had with the one you just had removed. If the problems were caused by poor placement of the electrodes or some other part of the surgery, then perhaps a re implant would make sense. Have you talked with the surgeon who removed your CI? Is he suggesting an upgrade? |

![]() I thought you had your implanted removed, am I missing something here? Is the question you asking is for you, or speaking generally? Do you have a web camera? or VP? Maybe one of us can VP you and you can tell me or someone else what you're trying to say in sign language?

I think he may be speaking generally and wants to hear our opinion on these cochear implants but I may be wrong.
