Today is the day, I try the iCom and ComPilot out!

I get to try the iCom and ComPilot today.

I'm 99% sure I will go with the ComPilot as I can turn the volume up on it as well as my mp3 player/phone and aids. Think it means it will be better for a profound user.

Been wanting to get one if these for a long time but kept putting it off.

Not too sure it's worth the money with one aid, I maybe wrong tho. They are good.

I want it for music, face time and video Skype call with parents and I'm gonna try justing phone my dad and see how I get on.

Should pick up the ComPilot soon.

I love the Compilot I am trialing. When you receive or make a phone call the Compilot turns everything else off. All you hear is the voice on the other end. I can understand speech very well under those conditions. I've almost talked myself into just gpoing ahead and paying for the Niadias now and continue working on their tuning.

I'm getting the ComPilot, it's been ordered.

Ron, was it easy to set up?

My Audi is mainly used to fitting the elderly with ITE aids. I'm the youngist client he has.

I'm slightly worried that he will struggle to fit it.

Anything you had to do with your phone to get ComPilot working?

Been watching youtube videos on the ComPilot, have a better understanding now.

Ron, if I turn my Bluetooth off on my phone overnight, do I have to re pair or will it connected myself itself when I turn Bluetooth back on?
Is there away of turning the Bluetooth off on the ComPilot when I'm just listening to music via the cord?

The audi needs to pair the ComPilot with the HAs via the software for the HAs.

It's easy to pair the ComPilot with the phone & TVLink. Just follow the instructions in the manual. You put both the phone and the ComPilot in discovery mode then when they find each other, you accept the pairing on the phone.

I don't turn my bluetooth off on the phone at night but I do turn off the ComPilot while it's charging overnight. When I put it back on in the morning, it "finds" the phone. I just tested turning off the bluetooth on my phone and then turning it back on. I had to tell the phone to reconnect with the ComPilot. Maybe if I had waited a little bit longer it would have connected...just play around with it to see how it works with your phone.

I don't think there's anyway to turn off the phone-to-ComPilot "connection" via the ComPilot. You would need to turn off your bluetooth on the phone if you don't want it interrupting your music listening.

My audi did not have any trouble connecting the Compilot, except with the bluetooth. She had to turn off the notification ring to get my Samsung hooked up. Users manual that comes with it also mentions to turn notification ring off. My phone still vibrates when I get a text message. Once your audi completes the pairing, it should not have to be done again. I found difficulty with the connect phase until I figgered out I had to turn phone on first, then Compilot. Connecting is then automatic. I don't think the Compilot will know the difference if you turn the bluetooth on and then the Compilot. Turning the Compilot on first caused the connection to fail. The compilot will work with bluetooth if phone is within 30 feet or so. There is a blinking blue light that will tell you if blue tooth is working . Because of my ear infection I had HAs out this morning. My daughter called. The phone began buzzing. I went to "phone" log list and saw it was my daughter that had called. Put the HAs back in and called her thru blue tooth and it worked perfectly. The bluetooth feature is awsome. I had not talked successfully over the phone in over ten years. I can now use the bluetooth feature and carry on a conversation successfully even in a crowded restaurant or room full of gabbing people. I have not tried the music streaming feature yet. I will be trying out the FM feature at my church in a couple of weeks as soon as I get the Landmark receiver. The buttons that turn the sound up or down I use constantly depenmding on situation. Hope this info helps.

Oh good luck.

I really wasn't sure which one to get.
If I thought I wouldn't benefit from the volume control to turn music up etc, then I would of gone with the iCom.

I like the fact, I will be able to turn HAs up, phone up/mp3 player and now ComPilot up, will give me plenty of volume I hope.

Hope you enjoy it
