I am still kinda in the closet.....I'm out to some college friends, but not out to anyone else....I'm still coming to terms with the fact that I happen to be sexually attracted to women.....and it's hard.....very hard.

I am mostly out. The tricky part is, I'm also student-teaching and I'm more of a coward than I thought I'd be. Until student-teaching started, I would have said I was 100% out. Now I've kind of adopted the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" mentality, which I'm ashamed of. But I figure, if I'm not comfortable in that setting, then it's probably safest to keep that part of me secret until AFTER graduation -- getting that diploma in my hands is almost the most important thing right now!

I am OUT with my closest friends and my husband, but my mom has not figured out I am bi and it has never been important to tell her. I mean - I used to go to support group meetings at the Gay and Lesbian Center and she drove me there (knowing what it was) but she still doesn't get it? No one else asks, and it just doesn't seem important to make an issue of it. I am still somewhat acive in GLBT issues, and I have never denied what I am. Just no need for me to be OUT.

Just a question here, Morrigan... Could your Mom just NOT want to get it? It sorta sounds to me like she knows, but doesn't want to admit to herself that you're bisexual. Denial does weird things to people.

Yes - it's entirely possible. I am not sure why. She's quite accepting of GLBT people, but for some reason, she and I just "don't go there".

I am pretty much fully out, my dad doesn't know. He couldn't handle it. It would cause major problems with the family if he knew and my family is more important than that. I think some of my cousins and aunts figured it out but i didn't tell them. all my friends know, everyone i work with knows. I don't anounce it but i don't hide it either. If some one asks i tell them.

I am pretty much out, but... in an environment where nobody really wants to know about it nor talk about it. Heh. At my ASL job, all of my coworkers and boss know about me and have met with me and my bf on dinners and parties. At my other job, some people know. For me, it is not really an issue to talk about it unless people bring it up. In other words, I don't flame about it.

I'm out! But in general I don't correct people when I mention "my partner" and they assume that she is a he. It isn't worth the drama since it usually happens in enclosed spaces.

My wife and i are FULLY out of closet as married transgendered deaf couple for 6 yrs but married for 22 years this march... but we don't announce to anyone in public "hey everyone we are transgendered" like that... NO WAY!!!!!!! Most of our neighborhoods does not know that we are transgendered yet.... except my wife's families accepted us but not my mom and my sister does not know yet!! Someday we will visit them ( my mom and sister) and surprise them who we are!! hee hee....

I am out to my friends and family except my neighbors since they are churchgoers. I never mention to them at all. I always respect them. I knew them since I was 3. My father found out I am lesbian, at first he wasn't happy until his lover Michael told him "look at u, u are gay. So why dont you let her to be happy?" My father gulped and accepted who I am since I accepted him.
