I noticed that my sister's husband also a diabetic and he has nice health insurance and got a name brand medicine and it helps lower his sugar, that's strange how I take a generic brand and my sugar keeps getting higher.

I feels that state or health dept don't care for people who cannot afford a name brand medication and give them a cheap weak generic medicine that isn't helping, people keeps getting sicker and sicker.
You get me curious. Why you are not happy with medicaid? I thought you should be glad that medicaid cover medicine for you? Do you mean that they cover cheap medicines?

My diabetic friends can have children. They already have children thru special treatment. I think you should go to another doctor for second opinion.

My doctor send me to a specialist to find out if PCOS caused my diabetes, but I missed that important appointment cuz I moved out of state, that's why and I'm gonna E-mail my doctor and see if it's possible to removed my cyst and maybe I can be diabetes free.
Really? I never heard about this. I only know it helps to free diabetes when you have positive stress.

The issue isn't with generic / brand name medication: EVERY SINGLE person with diabetes, especially at varied levels of progression with type 2 diabetes, will react differently to the same medication. If the drug you take isn't working for you, you either need to look into a higher dose, adding or switching to another oral medication, or beginning insulin. Talking about how 'the man' is out to get you wont lower your A1C- being vocal and informed about your health will.

Last month ago, my doctor told me that i have diabetic which i was in for a shock because i am only 43 yrs old and also i had high triglycerides and high cholestrol by eating junk food, pasta, potatoes, sodas (not diet ones) and all that.... So, i changed my eating habits from junk food to healthy food... my blood sugar started with around 340 mg/dL YIKES!!!! but now i am under control by testing the blood sugar level 4 times a day and taking metformin 500 mg which covered by Medi-Cal/Medi-Care (Medicaid) and those pills seem are working to lower my blood sugar level! It goes up and down mostly from 89 to 179 mg/dL..... I am on Type 2! Yeah, i know it's hard to choose food that so expensive from the food store! Dang!!!!
