My mom's friend, her neighbor, she's amazing, I couldn't believe she's 100 yrs old, she still walk without crutches, walker or wheelchair.
Would u live up to 100 yrs old? (As for me, I don't think so). Hey, I had never heard about deaf who's 100 yrs old? (Make me wonder). You know that would be interesting for first deaf history for someone who's 100 yrs old and deaf but I don't see nothing, anyone know who's 100 and deaf?. |

I don't know anybody personally that lived over 100 years. One of my great-aunts and two great-great aunts are in their mid-90's now. From what I have heard is that my great-aunt and great-great aunt are not in their greatest health now. I don't know about my great-great aunt though.
There is/was a deaf man in his 100's living in a nursing home near where I used to live. He was a teacher/Superintendent at the Georgia School for the Deaf. I don't know if he is still around. He seemed healthy in pictures. Would I want to live up to 100 or over 100? I don't know if I would want to live that long.

I noticed people talks about old hearing people who's 100 and over from TV news or newspaper. But never see about deaf and 100 yrs old. |

When I was little, I used to say I would live to 100 but now I am in my 50's ... no way.
![]() On my maternal side, my great grandmother lived to 94, then my grandmother to 93 and now my mother is 80. So who knows. |

I know I wouldn't want to live to 100. Very lonely age, I imagine.
My grandmother lived to 97 before passing on and my great-aunt is 99 years old this year and last I heard she's in good health. Doesn't rely on assistive devices. So I have to wait and see how long my mum and aunt will live to. Then I'll know if I have 50/50 of inheriting longevity gene. |

We are all mortal, so we die when it's our time. We won't know if we will live to 100 or not, even some of your relatives may live long doesn't mean you will live long, too.

Would I? Who knows?
Do I want to? Depends on the quality of my life by then.

I'm lucky to have lived this long, so any year from here on out is gravy for me.

50 years from now, we can have a lot of medical breakthroughs. I watched "2057" last night. Boy was it amazing. There are some medical advances right now that would blow your mind. So it's evitable that we will get helped along with medical "miracles" to live longer and longer!
I want to live as long as I can for my family. To help my girls become good mamas themselves. I'd be so honored to!
