![]() Sign up. Ader Group support may be helpful! At my BLOGs! ![]() Hi I have had 2 little girls and now need to loose weight before summer season I would like to loose 20 pounds. I started working out last year July 2006 and now its one year later I dropped pants size and lost some weight. I am still in the process of shedding some more pounds. I really don't know how much I have lost. I am in support here count me in smile

I need to lose about 70 lbs but my motivation to exercise is not there like it used to be even though I have started walking around my neighborhood since moving in this house.
Count me in! I used to be an exercise freak and I would love to get back to my old exercise routine.

Hey I'll join. Im too young to be obese but I am! In the last three years I have ballooned from 120lbs to about 178 lbs. Im telling ya the extra weight on my frame ain't lookin' good for me.
So here I go: Name: Dixie Final Goal: 135-125lbs. Somewhere in there for me. Any less than 120 lbs and I start looking sickly. 1 month goal: 12/3/07 - 10 pounds. (10 pounds in 30 days? Can she do it? Can she stop gaining weight to become the biggest loser of the month?? What type of diet: More balanced. Im eating too much junk and not enough of the healthy stuff. I've started ordering a salad from the cafe' for lunch on Saturdays, but I'd rather have a good leafy salad everyday for lunch, then something meaty for dinner. Oh yeah here's a free tip from Dixie: when you get the urge to munch on something - go eat some ice cubes. You trick your brain into thinking its eating a sneaky snack, but instead your'e eating ice cubes and it adds to your daily water intake keeping you hydrated.

Shel - you ain't seen cheese freaks til ya come down to my house - me and my DD will fight over the last slice of cheese sometimes. (But I usually end up splitting it half and half with her)

I am more of a protein eater vs carbs. I do like carbs such as breadsticks are soo good and lasagna yum! I like that tip Dixie, eating ice cubes will try that. Another tip drink ice water with slice of lemon it makes water more tasty.

Final Goal: 117 pounds 1month Goal (for 12/5): to lose 8 pounds *realistic is 2 pounds a week* What type of diet: 1200 calorie a day diet. Right now I am very overweight. I need to go from 294 pounds to 117 to be at my goal weight. I say this support group is an excellent idea. |

My doctor told me that each slice of cheese has 100 calories. So really its not that healthful to eat alot of cheese. Dang for me too as I am a cheeselover as well.
Here is a healthy tip to get your cheese fix. Broccoli and cheese bakes. You don't eat quite as much cheese and broccoli is healthy. Although I hate broccoli. |

I lost 26 lbs!...sooo proud of myself!! so is my
doctor!! lol! I need to lose about 10 or 15lbs she says but i think i will make it my goal of 20 lbs!.. I do feel a whole lot better and my blood sugar is sooo much better, even my cholesteral is down alot too! ![]()

I'm trying to lose my weight but my mind still in habit with soda, I have very hard time to break my habit (same as quit) to drink soda and junk food.
That's frustrated me right now. ![]()

I think a weight loss support group is an excellent idea. Count me in. :-)
These tips are great and that will help all of us to improve our eating habits. Lifestyle is another thing because it affects how we eat as well. I have the tendency to eat more chickens than beef products. The problem is, I am a big carb eater. I love those starchy foods too, ha. Yeah, starchy foods isn't that healthy either. I recently purchased a smoothie mixer and have started buying some ingredients that makes a good smoothie. It contains fruits as well which is a plus. I've only been using it once in a while but down in the road, I'd like to start using it as much as I can. My final goal is to reach at 150 lbs. Anything less than that makes me look boney. In overall, I just want to be fit and healthy.

We need a weight GAIN support group for us bodybuilders!
Original weight 1/1/07: 160 Current weight 11/1/07: 175lbs I need to get a body fat measurement. I'm hoping to get down to 6-7%. I estimate I'm at 8-10% today. My abs still aren't showing up. |

Actually Dennis 8-10% body fat is ridiculously low you need around 20% body fat depending on body type plus women need slightly more body fat than men. But anything over 30% body fat is too much.

I think weight loss support groups like Weight Watchers are
fine if you can get interpeters to help you understand what you need to know about losing weight and all. I had to have one when i went for diabetic/nutrition classes to learn how to change my diet and all...not that im a diabetic, i was just pre-diabetic which could result into a full blown diabetes if i didnt completely overhaul my diet. I did just that cuz i didnt want to develop diabetes, and as a result i lost 26 lbs! My doctor was so proud of me and told me that my blood sugar is back to normal. Of course, i will always have to watch what i eat for the rest of my life...i always will eat healthy, and of course, i will occassionaly have a little bit of sinful sweet stuff, lol! like a small bowl of yogurt ice cream or a piece of vanilla cake once in awhile, not everyday, of course...as the dietitian says.
