I wish it were that simple for me, but it definitely is interesting. Btw, that link was technically correct when it came to keeping the wound clean. Closure depends largely on the type of wound, and the health of the person, though. Also, other factors come into play like blood supply and such. Alot of factors need to be considered, but I'd say that generally that was factual.

Incidently, I'm having surgery in about 3-4 wks for my wound closure. I haven't updated my thread yet, but check it, if you care to comment.

Awesome link. Thanks for that! I will have surgery in 2 weeks for umblicial hernia repair! ugh! not looking forward to that! but interesting link, thanks for sharing that with us!

For a while I was pondering doing my graduate studies on wound specialty. I have seen lots of decubs and such. It can be rough and long time to heal. Many times Mx surgeries and grafts are needed with Stage IV's.

I know. I am not new to this, unfortunately. This is the third time around the block for me. I've had prior wounds. I've had two muscle flaps; one just 6 mos ago. I'm about to have my third such surgery. They will revise the flap they did in April. The wound I have now is on the incision line from the previous surgery.
