There's a new thing floating around on FB, and I think it's really cool:

Though I am really sick and tired of these "what I do" memes, this one was spot on. I love the "what waitresses think we do" pic. Classic!

I normally don't care much for stuff like this one but the op's post made me laugh especially at the waitress part and the AGBell one.

It really was spot on, though! We've had a number of people here talking about how waitresses ask us if we want Braille menus. I can't wrap my head around that one

*snort* And the ironic thing is that only a small percentage of blind/low vision people use Braille.
I know people mix up deaf and blind people, but wouldn't a waitress think " They can see! Why do they need Braille?"

Lol! I love this post! I've gotten the same question from several people that I know, ever since I started school "so you're learning to read braille?" :pissed:Every time I hear it, i wanna go "No. I'm learning to flap my hands like this" -proceeds to wildly flail hands and arms in the air-

While I've never got the braille menu offered to me, I've had several instances where I was talking to someone and let them know I was deaf/hoh and the person is like, "Oh really? My mom/grandma/dog/etc. is blind!"

WTF?

Haha! That's like traveling abroad and telling someone you're from Idaho. "You're from Idaho?!? I know someone from Idaho! Do you know Bob?"

I don't really get the audiologist part though. Can someone explain that to me?
