I'm like them too! I find them challenging.

I suspect that there is more to writing them than just making sure that each line has the right number of syllables though. When I have time I'll investigate it some more.

I hate to rain on your parade, the poem in itself is very nice
but for haiku it has too many syllables in the last verse -6, unfortunately:

my - 1 syllable
family - 3 syllables
downstairs - 2 syllables

Some posts and threads where moved from here to the haiku thread, and the non-contest related posts to here. I hope that this makes the contest more readable and easier to vote for everyone. This thread can serve as the discussion or thoughts members may have.

On other notes, we will have a few more games coming out in the next few weeks! Fun, cash and prizes will be there. Be on the lookout...
