^^^I did not mean to come off as being condescending, Sunny. I know you're an adult (and I meant girl as in girlfriend). But you're going through a tough time right now - and maybe you're lonely. Babies are a poor fix for that. In fact, they are incredibly needy creatures. You're only 20. You have many baby making years ahead of you yet. Don't miss out on some important years of adulthood by jumping onto the motherhood wagon so quickly.
I mean this from the heart as a friend. I value your friendship here, but I've seen too many kids screwed up because their parents weren't quite ready/mature for the job. I'd hate to see that happen to you, truly.

I really loved babies....wanted 5 of them!...after the birth of my first child (age 19)....then I realized very quickly the responsibility of it all....gone were my care-free days of sleeping late, going out with my friends whenever I wanted to, etc., etc. If I could take it all back, I would have waited until I was 30-something....

![]() I watched several shows about Dubai on National Geographical channel and they talked about their mega structures. They are freakin' awesome. One of their very expensive hotels offer $25,000 per night stay in one of their suites.

We found Tinker's little Christmas stocking toy. She has now almost given up the catnip mouse.
Her favorite other than the stocking, is a wadded up piece of yellow paper from a Jr. Legal pad. Wad it up into a ball and she will chase that thing for a good hour before getting tired. She loves it when we toss it and she has to jump for it. She gets a good workout each day that way.

I'm thinking Tinkerbell is learning ASL a little. I can look at her, use the sign name I gave her and sign "come here" and she will come and sit in my lap. I can sign "go to play toy" and she will go either to her paper ball, her catnip mouse or her Christmas Stocking. If I sign "you thirsty?" she will jump up to the bathroom sink for water if she is.

I too had my DD at 19 - all due to stupid drunken sex with what is now my ex-husband.
I wouldn't trade her for the world, but I certainly wish I would have waited until I was closer to 30 and firmly established financially and emotionally. I've vowed to myself - no more children! One is enough for me!

I had one child at 16. Too young and he grew up with the father's family at my request. Got married at 28, had DD at 29 and DS at 30. There are times when I wish we were younger having had these kids, but I am still thankful for them.

A dear friend has a 25 year old daughter who graduated less than two years ago and has a GREAT job working for Busch/Budweiser. She met a fella 4 months ago and is already discussing marriage. My friend wants me to try to talk her out of it this weekend. Wish me luck!

I was still a college undergrad...I wish I had waited until I finished college, worked a few years, and bought a house before having my daughter. That was my plan anyway but didnt go the way I wanted it to.

30s is definitely not too late. I know this one lady who is currently pregnant with her first child at 41 and all is fine with the pregnancy so far.

Basically, I was just trying to say, that even in her mid 40's, she had two very healthy babies and suffered no problems herself.

I got married at 27 and had my first child at 29. It was a good age to have a baby. Not too young, not too old. Many people don't realize that it can be very difficult for some women to get pregnant in their 40's. Some women even have difficulty getting pregnant in their late 30's. So if you want a baby, and you're not open to adoption, don't wait too long. I've seen some women heartbroken when they can't get pregnant later in life, especially when adoption is not an option.

wowie, so many of you had babies before 30's and even younger than my age now!!! I can't imagine myself having babies until like...I'm in my late 20's or 30's.
But I think, there's some discussion about the trend of young adults delaying the milestones to later age...such as marrying later, moving out later, having children, etc. Anyway....as for "what you thinking about"....I'm thinking about too many things each day. *sighs*. Too many things to do. AD is a great place to procrastinate....
