This is a pic of a path leading to the far backyard. I took more pics, but they came out blurry. The whole backyard (minus this path) looks like this!

That is so rough. Hope you get to see her again soon. Also hope that she can keep in touch often after getting back to AZ.

What makes you feel calm? A warm drink, a cozy blanket, watching cartoon, reading a book? Whatever makes you feel calm, do it when you feel stressed. It's hard to learn how to calm yourself but you have friends here to help you.

Here's one to start:

What's the difference between a northern fairytale and a southern fairytale? A northern fairytale begins "Once upon a time..." A southern fairytale begins "Y'all ain't gonna believe this sh*t..."

My daughter left. My son cried but handled it a lot better than last year. Just like before, I feel a sense of emptiness but it will be temporary as we get busy. Also, we all are flying to AZ on Sat anyway.

Thanks everyone! Hugs

I was wondering how your son was going to handle her leaving. It is so hard to understand what is going on with that at his age. Telling him that he will see her again soon just doesn't mean much to a small child, because to them, a minute seems like an hour.

Dont I know that!!! That's one of the reasons why I put that on my FB status because some of my friends on my FB still are associated with my ex hubby so I hope they send that message to him and show what an asshole he is.

I know exactly how you feel. I went through that a couple of days ago. Hated it.

Aside from that I'm kinda worried for my pastor. Just found out from FB that he was taken to the hospital and admitted this afternoon.

Also it got effing hot here. Official temp was 114 degrees according to my weather app. I knew it was bad hot, but I didn't realize it was that bad. I think Ft. Smith got up to 115 or 116 today. I nearly melted at work and we had alarms going off left and right in our chicken houses. The cool cells were going like there was no tomorrow and every fan was at full-speed. It was bad enough the computer couldn't keep up to keep the houses cool. By this afternoon I felt like I was going to keel over at any moment.

I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ready for FALL!!

Thinking that no child should EVER be taken away from a parent or their only blood sibling. EVER unless there was abuse or neglect involved.

Thanks, I don't see any relief any time soon from this heat. It's been bad enough it's affecting my blood sugar.

As for my pastor, his wife texted me and said she would text me in the morning if he was released. I just hope he didn't get Dr. 'Uh'.
