Botts I'm very sorry to hear of your father's terminal cancer. I've been through this before with both of my grandparents on my father's side of the family. It was tough. Hang in there.

I also learned that the online version of The Courier News is offline for whatever reason. I was going to browse through the classifieds to see if there are any jobs available in the town I hope to move to soon. Boo.

Thanks. It's a very advanced cancer and he is in frail health, so I don't think anything could help him, but thanks for thinking of us.

I learned that the Health Department still will not approve for our septic tank. Now the Town Hall is trying to see about changing some variances or something. If that does not work, then hubby will look for work up in Central Florida and MIL will help us to buy a home up there. She knows that none of this is our fault. Daughter is not happy that we may move out of the area, but she will get over it. The rest of us are looking forward to it and hope we can. I myself will miss all of the new deaf friends that I have made and the deaf church.

Is it safe to assume that this is because the city want you to hook up to the municipal sewage system? I cannot think of any other reason they would not want you to have your own septic tank.

I just learned about 10 minutes ago that my neighbor across the street had his truck broken into several days ago ( thanks for telling me man...) and that there are apparently people living or staying in the house next to mine which has been empty for 2 years because the owner has been in Iraq. Nice to know...oh, and illegally. Squatters...could be a damn serial killer for all I know...nice, just nice.
I feel so freaking safe now. Funny I didn't see anyone there...and the house is right next to mine. Hubby did see someone there several days ago but figured it was someone cutting the grass as usual, since the owner has lawn service....heh, guess not.

I'm pissed no one told me. I heard it from a neighbor at a store tonight...just got back after hearing the news.

I need to move...

We learned that after the Town Administrator spoke with the Health Department, they still will not approve the permit for the septic tank (no sewer system here Cheetah). We have now gotten in touch with the surveyor (on the advice of both the contractor and the Town Hall) and he is trying to figure things out with the Health Department. Hubby is now frustrated enough that he is really wanting to move away from this "God-Forsaken county".

We have 5 people in the neighborhood next to us that all got massive fines after 2 months of no mowing. Next up, the Town Hall has their mowers come out and charges the owners $100 on top of all the fines. If the Town has to mow it a 2nd time, then they can begin filing the criminal charges for it. Main reason for the criminal charges and the strictness, we have been having an alligator problem here. If the grass gets too high, the gators come into the yard and "camp" out. Today, I went to court then tonight, ASL class where I learned a lot. My teacher is so cool

First time in my life I've ever understood what the teacher was saying or even enjoyed being in class. Didn't even notice there was a clock in the room. Loving it!

what's so hard about mowing lawns even once a month? are they unemployed or something?

Learned that my boss' husband's cancer has recurred, and he will have to undergo chemo/radiation. I'm worried for them. They are only just a few years older than I, so they are in their 40's.
