The formatting/coding to the mobile version is slightly different from full-version. However I've not used AD mobile in forever because I forgot my password, and I don't feel like resetting it for the umpteenth time.

It is an assessment appointment, so it is still pending whether I am an candidate or not.
your comment is unnecessary with these roll my eyes emoticon - you need to show some respect to other AD'ers especially to CI's

Alright, JC. Almost young children could get CI to be normal hearing. Late Adults have CI to hear sound only but some of them can't use phone.

I learned from the VMO that the Schedule A letter may not apply to this position I wish to have with USDA, as hearing is a requirement for the position. I have decided I will apply for the position as normal and if I have to take a hearing test I will find some way to fake it on my deaf ear - however the test will come back inconclusive as one ear is consistent and the other is not. I am sure they will likely have me retest at a later date if this happens (that is if I even get that far into the hiring process).

I learned that there is no ASL classes in summer at my college, but this other college in my town has ASL classes, but only 4 times a week for 2 hours each. That's gonna change my "schedule" around just for those classes. :S

I wonder if there's ASL classes outside College/HighSchool. You guys have schools just for ASL? A tutor or something?

EDIT: I also learned this! :

Depends on where you are. See if there are any local schools for the deaf, most offer ASL lessons in the evening once or twice a week.

You have a local Deaf action center? THey usually run classes and you can get private tutoring if you want.

Thank you guys. I need to check for something like that after I pick classes for Summer. My counselor might help me out if there's really no ASL classes in Summer...

Just learned my AB harmony with a t-mic can put everything to near silence with headphones over the t-mic. Like a real noise-canceling headphone! Don't think this kind I'm wearing is noise-canceling, but still!

The timer clock's ticking noise is annoying when you putting something in the oven, but with headphones, it's completely gone and can listen to something on here...

That pharmacies won't give out syringes without a prescription!

(My regular pharmacy was closed by the time I got there -- my bad, I didn't pay attention to their hours -- so went to 2 other pharmacies that were already closed too, and then a 3rd one which was open but wouldn't give me insulin syringes without a prescription. I guess my regular pharmacy knows me because they filled that insulin prescription to begin with. I bet I left those pharmacies with them wondering if I was a druggie looking for needles! )

I learned how to say "NO" and not feeling bad about it, or questioning my judgement....2 friends were invited over for Easter dinner...they accepted...then called to say they didn't have a way to come over (they live about 15 miles from me)..and wanted me to come pick them up....welllll. I am busy with all the cooking and such...but relented, and said "as long as you pay for my gas to get there and take you back home...."

They felt "insulted"....(say what?)....Gas here is $3.74/gallon....she said "I've already made 2 dishes for the dinner"....(but she was asked to bring something).... so I said "I'm sorry!...we will miss you at the dinner."....

I learned today that our church youth minister has accepted a position in Clovis, New Mexico. That's going to be interesting for him and his family I am sure. NM is very different from AR.
