My anger has subsidized somewhat today. Yesterday, I swore a "blue streak"! But still not 100% knowing "whoever" put those flowers on my dining room table. But we all believe it was one of my neighbors, who is very nice, but also very "nosey"....she has lots of flowers in her yard...but nevermind! I keep my front door locked, all times. But I was going in and out the patio doors, bringing things into the back of the house. No one was home but myself....
I became tied up with something in the back of the house....came back into the dining room to find the flowers sitting there. 1st thought was: the boys brought them to me and were "hiding" someplace. I called out...no one home but me! Front door still locked....then I became a little "scared and suspicious"....The boys came in about 10 minutes later, and I said, "did you bring me these flowers"?...."NO".... I've yet to go over to ask her if she did, in fact....come into my home and put flowers on my table!...NEVER would I ever, walk into someone's home and do something like this!...She knows I'm Deaf...BUT!..if she in fact did this, then she's crossed the line!...Gonna have to "educate her"!...she should have left them by the door if there was no answer, or she did not see me anywhere! As for now, all doors are locked! I'm still fuming over this. |

Well - as I said in the other thread, MIL fell again, this makes 3 times in 2 weeks. Now after resting, she cannot move or stand up. I called the ER back, they claim there is nothing they can do. She wants to be admitted to the hospital, but the ER says they will not unless she has a more serious fall. They say the only thing they can do is see her in the ER then either send her home or recommend a nursing home. She does not feel she needs the nursing home yet. Hubby is on the phone to see about home health nurses or something with her insurance company. This is getting worse and worse, but now the hospital is not willing to help. In my mind, this is not right!

Kristina, it doesn't matter what your MIL thinks. If she keeps falling at home, she needs more care than home provides. Consider getting a judge to make you her guardian. Another idea is to get some home health care for her supervision. You can't be her keeper 24/7. You need to take care of yourself, too. Is there a social worker at the hospital? Ask about getting a social worker. Hope that you can find some help soon!

I'm relieved to hear that Kristina. You've got to take care of yourself so that you can take care of your family. Best of luck tomorrow! Hope that it goes smoothly.

It is exhausting, but for the most part, she has been able to take care of herself. It's just these last 2 weeks that have been hard for all of us. They think she may only be there for 3-4 weeks. We will see.

Kristina, totally know how you feel. I think, we are both have similar issues with in laws. My sis in law treats me like a child. I asked her, "Did you give birth to me?" Lol pissed her off. She has no right to treat me like a child. Just bec we all live w my dad, she "s being supported by two men, my dad and bro if you really think about. She don't work and she's pregnant. My father puts her on a pedelstal and bro does too. She tries to boss me around like she's the housewife. They call me immature and I act childish. They are childish, my bro got married to her and should be on their own! Who is calling who childish.

Jazz singer Mandy Harvey will make her debut tonight at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The Denver native will receive the International Young Soloists Award and $5,000 to help her music career. Harvey is deaf and has recorded and self-produced two albums.

How ridiculous that I'm actually afraid of posting my thoughts on something here cause some people can be overly sensitive and I don't want to be attacked cause I'm pretty sure I'll be compared to every other hearing person stereotype that exists on this Earth -___- when all I wanted is a simple answer to a ridiculously stupid question

Why oh why does this always happen?!! You get interested in a book at the library and are ready for the next one in the series only to find that they don't have them all. I mean, I just finished book 1, book 2 is not in any of the branches. It's not even in the online catalog, but books 3-6 are there, 7 & 8 are not but 9-11 are. Does this make sense? I have a hard time finding something to read. I love to read just to relax and escape, but it's so hard finding things I like.

This week has got to improve! Today my belt seam had completely frayed out and folded over so it kept getting hung and today it did quite a doozy! We ended up having to raise the nests to find it, and even then we still couldn't find it. We finally just had to let it run through until we found it. Once we got it, we gave the belt a lot of slack by running it in reverse then we had to re-sew the seam together. After that everything *seemed* to be fine. Right up until the end of my last gathering today. Washer 1 comes out, washer 2 usually follows within 1-2 mins, no biggie. 1-2 mins pass, I thought it might just be a tad bit more behind. 2-5 mins pass, ok we have a problem. I shut the table down and went out to investigate by opening the fronts of the nests. I get ALL THE WAY to the far end of the house and my belt has flipped up! HOLY SNAPPING BATSHIT!! I had smashed eggs, eggs UNDER the belt, eggs everywhere except where eggs should be!!! Well I find the problem, a single egg had gotten under the belt somehow and then the other eggs just followed so there was about 200 eggs under the belt. I dig all the eggs out. Any eggs that couldn't be saved were thrown to the chickens. I was so mad I pulled a hen out of a nest by her neck after she pecked at me, and I killed a rooster that attacked me. It took me over an hour to get that mess fixed and sorted. I normally leave the farm around 4:30 - 4:45. Today, I left at 6:02pm. OMG I am SOOOOOO ready to hear from USDA!!!

I want to vent about the gas prices that has gone $1.42 per gallon for my car. I am pissed at the government and the gas station. I had just paid $40.00 for half a tank. They are not going to make the gas prices go down.
For some reason, the government seem to like having us suffer having to foot the gas prices for our cars. This is way too much and I don't like it not one bit. The gas prices will keep on doing this every few days to every week. What is with the Canadian government? I need the car for transportation as we don't have a metro bus in my village. Geeze.

If they haven't auctioned off your car, give them a call and they might work with ya. I'm sure they would rather get money from you instead of auction. They would get all of it from you instead of auction which is usually a fraction of money owed.

I rant about my family especially my sister -inlaw who acts like the boss. Lately, she's left me alone thank goodness! After, I asked her "did you give birth to me?"

For the second time, a friend asked me to fix her Ford Escort engine. The head gasket cracked and the dang engine is overheating. Ford Escorts tend to have this problem, sigh. I will tell her to just get rid of the lemon and get another car. I hope I do not have to sell my LeSabre to her.

She was pissed at him and his friend for parking their cars in the alley which I agree with her. But as she was yelling at my brother, he tried to explain to her that he was deaf and pls to slow down with speaking so he can lipread. That was when she said, "Oh you are deaf? You must be dumb!" So he was like "**** it" and mooned her which I fully support. Nobody should go around calling deaf people dumb and think they can get away with it.

For the first time in EONS, I have nothing to vent about today. Of course that can change in an instant.....
