Why oh why does my daughter have to yell so much! Even when just having a conversation, she tends to shout or yell. I know I can't hear it, but it's loud enough I feel the vibrations.

She's only got a very mild loss. Her loss is mostly speech recognition. She can hear all the range of sounds.

Don't feel bad, I can tell when my dad is watching the TV in the living room. I can feel the vibrations from it if I prop my feet up on the armrest of the loveseat. I don't mind though, 99% of the time we never sit in the same room anyway.

Bottesini: tested whether I could "hear dance music" disconnecting my Implant and touched the loud speakers. Only vibrations from the loud speaker which to me isn't dance music. I knew what the dance music was -from "auditory memory". When they played another one-no idea.

I still bilateral DEAF since December 20, 2006.

MIL is a little livid right now. Pastor from her church that I detest with a passion, just came over. He drove his big honkin truck up into the yard. MIL had just paid a few weeks ago another $1000 to get the sprinklers all fixed and replaced. He just drove over one of the pipe and it broke and also drove over 3 sprinkler heads and smashed them. Now, he's claiming that he's not responsible, that if we had gone to church like we should he wouldn't have to drive over. HE only came to beg my daughter to come help out with Children's church. Daughter told him a flat out "NO!!!"

I find that amazing since he's supposed to be a christian. That's setting a good example alright.

Just blaming others for what he did himself.

That is part of problem of today's world.. No body will take responsibilites for their own actions.

Also with the way he is acting, why would anyone want to go to his church?

If Im havin a "Am I going to be shit parent?" moment I dont need be told "you options" I want this kid I'm unsure of how my childhood will affect my parenting

inmate23, I'm sorry that you're stressed out. You should be receiving support now. I can tell you that all new mothers-to-be worry about being a good mom. That's normal. Having a baby is a huge life change and it creates anxiety (in addition to joy). Talk to your partner about your hopes and fears. And don't let anyone suck the fun out of having your baby.

Kristina, get an estimate and file a claim in small claims court. The pastor will have to show up in court or you'll get a default judgement against him. Looks like his concern for his reputation would motivate him to clear it up quietly. You can probably can get a form at the small claims court. The clerks are generally kind about helping. They may be able to tell you where you can find a volunteer attorney. Courthouses usually have set time for a volunteer to answer questions.

Good point, Botte. Doesn't sound like a huge amount of damage. If you have a good insurance company, it will be much easier.

MIL has decided to do nothing. She is having hubby fix it all this weekend. She feels that this Pastor can do no wrong. She was livid and very upset, but claims she prayed about it and decided to forgive him.

thanks i need to change my multi vitamin as it causing me to throw up(which is stressful) my partner doesnt want bring up my mental health issues with my doc without my meds i dont sleep

im guessin its a lack of sleep and i 1 view of how i use equipment and he has another by moving my powerchair in2 shed so i can drive to the shops means i dont feel safe in the kitchen

He's gotten away with so much crap over the years. I've just given up on him totally. It's said to think that he was actually the Pastor that did my wedding and told me on my wedding day that I would be divorced within 6 months. Well, 18 years and we are still going strong. Each of his 5 kids have at least 1 divorce and 2 of the boys have 3 each.
