It's a horrible suggestion! About removing the "like" at least. Now we can leave and come back and find we were liked even in our absence.

I love the "like!"

I am all for the "like" button as many times I appreciate a post, but don't have anything meaningful to add. I read far more than I post on here, as I don't want to do "I agree" posts that don't add to the conversation.

The "like" button cuts down on "me too" posts. I often want to say that I agree or understand. Now, I can just click like without adding a post that doesn't really add anything to the discussion.

I agree with Hollykins here. Though posting an "I agree" post is slightly contradictory...

Since most people use Facebook these days , a newbie to AllDeaf can quickly contribute by using the "like" button. Learning how to write a post, use quotes & multi-quotes, how to format, use trackbacks, etc. is a bit harder.

It's so easy to be a troll on the internet these days, so it's nice to have the counterbalance of a Like button.
