Happy April Fool's Day! It's almost over! And as far as what I did today, I pulled NO pranks on anybody. I'm dull.

Smithtr, the topic of this thread is "What did you do today?"

So, what did you do today?

I rode the bus while drinking water. I stopped at the mall and drank Diet Pepsi with dinner.

Worked both jobs today, went to my DD's softball practice, talked to a friend about tomorrow and talked to a family member about a birthday party my DD is going to tomorrow.

I was going to the store and saw a Chihuahua looking lost and frighten, the dog almost ran in front of my car ! I got out of car to try and to get the dog but she really frighten, I asked a guy if he knew who owned the dog as I was concerned about just a little dog being outside as we have a lot hawks looking for small animals! A woman told me the dog was at her back door but it was not her dog .! I when to the next house and the woman said she had a Chihuahua but she never let it out! I told her a Chihuahua is outside looking lost. The dog got out without the woman knowing it! She told me she had just put the dog food down and called her to come eat, she thought her dog was upstairs! The poor dog was trying to go to the back door of her house but the yard had a fence around it and she got confused and when to next the house thinking it was her home! I am glad I decided to go to the store, I do not like to shop on Saturday as it too crazy at the grocery store! The dog owner had just gotten back home her and never saw her dog as she had no needs to drive where she dog was. The dog was really cold too. I felt good knowing I helped a dog today! I wish the dog was friendly, she growled at me when I was talking to her owner!

Got up early, did the usual morning chores, then totally blocked the bathroom sink to prevent TinkerBell from turning on the water. Cat-proofed the living room. Loaded up the Expedition with: sweet potato casserole, Watergate salad (some fluff crap with cool whip, pistachio pudding and pineapple and a few other things), my fruit salad, my rollater, some bottled water, daughter's stuff, son's stuff and MIL's step stool. Then the family loaded up, drove to the Lake Okeechobee area (Basinger) for MIL's family reunion. Then drove home and unloaded. I was unable to eat anything except for a tiny piece of ham, 1 small spoon of green beans and some of my fruit salad. Everything else had some kind of milk, butter or cheese included in it. On the way home, I went to BK to get a Whopper no cheese or bun. Since it was drive thru, they cut it up and it was like a salad and they gave me my choice of dressing, but also included BBQ sauce. Not a lot of miles, but just long straight roads with 45 MPH speed limits almost the whole way. 152 miles round trip.

Went to work at my 2nd job from 7 to 3...took the residents to the mall and got some shopping in for myself. Bought a designer purse that was worth $58 for only $7! Yay! Now, I am at home relaxing.

I raced my 7 year old home from the neighbors (his request). I learned the hard way it's probably not the greatest idea to race anyone while you're wearing sandals and carrying a baby over rocky terrain. Fortunately, I saved the baby. My shins and knee, not so much.

Whatdidyousay, bless your heart for that!! I love reading happy ending pet stories.

What I did: went shopping at Pentagon City mall. Bought: 2 new wristwatches ($15 each, big spender that I am) at Brookstone. Very cool; they are just rubber bracelet watches with an LED screen that tells the time (or you can press a button on the back for the date), and that is ALL. No other buttons and crap. These are great for summer, as they can be worn swimming, to the beach, no worries about sand or about coming loose or anything. One white, one purple.

I have a couple watches from Casio and Timex that I usually wear while swimming, but they have so many buttons to do timers and elapsed time and da da da; they are more complicated than I need. So these are great.

Also: got a haircut, badly needed. So now I feel up to date again.

Stopped into the Yankee Candle store and bought 4 new votives in summer scents (Storm Watch, Lemon...something, a Tahiti flowered one, and Juicy Peach). Plus a pretty glass votive holder. LOVE that store; I actually restrained myself this time by just buying the little ones.

Went to the Sony store to look at TVs. Liked the Google TV very much. Cool CC options, including a transparent background - good for watching sports. Did not pull the trigger to buy it, though. Hubby has a thing against Sony on account of my BIL LOVES Sony and has a houseful of Sony products. Must be a guy thing; I don't understand why hubby has to automatically be against something BIL is all for.

Anyway, the Darling Husband says if I really like it I can buy it, but I think I'll still look a bit more, just to compare.

Did my grocery shopping this morning. Went to Publix and scored big time on some beef. Got a multi package that weighed close to 8 pounds for $11.40. It had a 2 small sirloin tip roasts, 8 sirloin tip side steaks and beef stew meat. That's an easy 6 meals for the 5 of us. Also, did the weekly shopping at WalMart. I will still have to go to the Farmer's Market on Wednesday and I need to check in with Whole Foods to see if there is any kind of ravioli that is dairy free. If not, then I need something to replace the ravioli that is not spaghetti. Already having that once this week.

Also ordered some new clothes online and made a donation to Shel90's son's endeavors for St. Jude's.

Worked on the patio, leveling it all off and putting down stepping stones, river rock and sand...gonna take a good month or so before it's completed...we only got about 1/4 of it so far, still a long way to go and multiple trips back and forth to Home Depot and Walmart....figure it's gonna cost me a lot more $$ before it's completed. But enjoyed every minute of it! The boats, jet skis and fishermen were all out today, beautiful weather and it was so breezy.

Today I slept in late, had a quick lunch then went to the dog park for a while. So fun watching Tucker wear himself out with a bunch of other dogs! Came home, wasted time instead of working on my paper. Made dinner (oven hot dogs, nom nom), now I'm surfing AD because I have serious writer's block. Ugh.

Today I got up went to Dover to a friend's church up there as she invited me. Wow, the sermon more or less smacked me in the head like a 2x4, definitely got me thinking, I'll save it for PM-land if anyone is curious. During the sermon my blood sugar dropped low enough that I was sweating, shaking, and had an excruciating headache. I apparently slumped over in the pew when my friend nudged me then realized what was happening. Her husband went and got some glucose tablets out of their vehicle, after two tablets and some bubble gum I felt ok to drive home, but they said I still looked extremely pale so they talked me into eating lunch with them. Funny thing was, my stomach was grumbling but my mind was like meh, I don't feel like eating. I ended up eating half of a taco salad. I then drove home a picked up my DD from my cousin's house who invited her over the previous night as part of a birthday party-sleepover they were having. Damn that's a nice neighborhood they live in, but they worked hard for it.

We then drove to my grandmother's house which was an hour away as she wanted us to come visit. We got there and she had cooked us a 7 course meal. I was already stuffed from lunch but my DD ate. Later I got me a super small portion as that's all I felt like and it was good. I still feel stuffed from lunch and eating at my grandmother's. All of my mother's siblings also showed up with their families on surprise and we ended up doing yardwork for my grandmother. I didn't mind though. We mowed her lawn and trimmed her bushes. Between all of us it took us less than an hour to complete. Then I came home and put clothes in the wash and I'm about to put them in the dryer. Weee.

Cool! Have you used one before? I'm a graphic designer myself and I bought a Tablet, and seriously hated it. Used it for 6 months and threw it out. Oh well.

Worked on creating my son's webpage for the Trike-A-Thon fundraiser to help St. Jude Children's Hospital

I posted the link on my FB page if anyone wants to make a donation to help research for children who are sick.

Then, Nathan and I went to a PC party..wasnt too bad but my boss was there so it was kinda awkward drinking margaritas with her there. She was so tired from her 2 week trip to Italy. Lucky her!

Went shopping and bought patio furniture and spent 3 hours assembling them. Then had to cook dinner. Ohhhh I am so exhausted. My hands hurt from using the wrench. Cant wait until it warms up and relax on my front porch with a glass of wine in the evenings.

Hope everyone had a great day!

You threw it out! Could have sent it to me.

I like using a Wacom Tablet because it assists a lot with my Photoshop work. I edit people's photographs, fix them up, remove whatever they want, and even flip a person not facing the camera and make him face it in the photograph.
