yeah that's what my hubby is watching too, as well as discovery channel or history. of course he does watch the kind of reality tv shows that i don't want to know what the hell reality tv shows are about.

Did anyone watch season finale of Master Chef last night? It was soo close! I am glad that person won.....not say a word since some of my friend has not seen it and already recorded on DVR.

I cannot wait to see if Gordon will host Season 2 of MC. Hell's Kitchen will be back on next week or on last week of the month, but I don't remember which date it was.

I jut saw this ad on TV for a Lyric hearing aid , I never saw the ad before. But I had to LOL as here was an ad on TV for a HA and there was no
Close Captioning!! I am thinking WTF , where the CC and Lyric hearing aid had none.

Let's hope so..if not, important they respect my rules and be motivated to learn. I have a tough group this year so I have to be extremely creative to make learning fun for them. My group last year were very very motivated learners and all were on academic level..even one was 1 grade level above for reading. This year's students are struggling learners and have language delays.

They learned 4 different skills that I had been working with them all week...

Recognize the words

Digits
Expanded form
Standard form
Word form

Then write the numbers in different ways like..

247

Write it in

two hundred forty-seven
200 + 40 + 7
246 + 1
248 -1

It required them to use mathematical thinking skills and with their language delay issues, it had been very challenging for me to be as creative with my lesson to get them understand the concepts

Today, they did independent classwork so I can assess whether they really understand what they learned all week or not.

All of them scored 90% or better!

They are ready for the math test tmw.

That's why I have been sooo tired with achy muscles because I am using 2 languages with them plus acting out the concept since they are delayed in English and ASL.
