URGENT- Anyone with Cochlear Implants who would be willing to speak with me?

Hi Alldeaf-

I'm writing a story about Cochlear Implants and what it does to the deaf community, and I wanted to IM with some people for a few minutes about their experiences with C.I.'s personally or with someone they know well.

I would need to do it by Wednesday night, so time is off the essence.


The article is for a class of mine, but it may be published in Chicago. Last time I did an interview with an Alldeafer it was published online by Tribune Interactive!

i'm not a popular alldeafer, but i have the cochlear implant. you can IM me on AIM, screen name is alldeafanakin. i just made it for this forum!

I don't know why you're so grumpy. I'm an ASL minor and have a right to be on here. If you're not interested in participating, then all you have to do is not respond to my forum. It's that simple.

They just get a lot of requests from students who don't want to talk to Deaf people in real life, so they ask questions here.

not my problem. not our problem either. should have planned this better in advance and actually GO to deaf event in Chicago to interview them. :roll:

I've actually already interviewed 4 deaf people, along with 3 other people from schools for deaf people.

I use this site to supplement interviews that I've already done. I've gotten some really cool interviews from this site, and people are usually really nice.

And your point is??? That you interview deaf people in real life should allow us to bend the rules for you?

It's nice to know you're doing that in real life as well, I have to admit. We just don't have a way to verify that, nor for the 500,000 other people who tries on a daily basis to score an interview.

We do get this a lot and it's just gets repetive. You can find your answers on here if you search through
 
In defense.............maybe blairtheblur wanted to find out if attitudes towards CIs were different in other places.
