Has Your Facebook Been Hacked?

Facebook has come up with new ways to make sure that your Facebook account is safe. From now on, whenever your Facebook account is compromised, you'll know about it right away. You'll then be given step by step instructions on what to do next to keep it from going any further or from happening again.

I'm glad that Facebook is taking steps to become more secure and is trying to come up with ways to make sure that spammers and hackers don't compromise our Facebook accounts. I just wish there was a way they could keep it from happening in the first place. Maybe that's not realistic though?

What do you think of this new Facebook safety?

Are you still using facebook or thinking of deactive facebook?

A friend of mine's other friend decided to close her facebook cuz of hacked.

No by my face has been hacked! :rofl: Sorry I am just being silly You are right about being careful on facebook and any social site for that matter.

Yes, it was!....Glad to know they've taken steps to remedy the situation. Dunno if I'll go back on FB again.
 
A (deaf) friend of mine who is sometimes not the sharpest knife in the drawer had his fb hacked and he caught a virus which spread to a few others. A nasty virus at that... wiped out entire hard-drives on main computer... what I did was remove him as a friend until he gets it straightened out... if ever.
I don't "play" on FB that much... occasionally post here and there and say hi to old friends and what not but I don't "live" there so I'm not too worried about hackers (too much). Still hackers are the reason(s) why I quit myspace... that and I got tired of hot horny women wanting to be my friend (which were in reality just links to porn sites :roll: )... I still have a myspace account but only to occasionally look at a friend's (new) photos. Other than that... ppfftt.
If FB starts leaning that way then I'll become "inactive" on that as well.

I have a friend who got an inbox message on FB, opened it, and received a virus. Not exactly sure how she got it... maybe by clicking on a link?
 
Never been hacked on my FB.

FBer should not click who are not on the buddy list or friend list.

Most of players on my friend list for games..

Windows down and Linux up eh...

Usually in news feed, it will show a video clip with something like "Amazing video" and when you click on it, you would notice a spoofed YouTube.com and another one like "I have lost 8 pounds in 2 days. Order your free pills today at _____.com.

I have never had mine hacked, but I have noticed several people on my list were.
