I am bummed about missing my work party tonight. My daughter wasnt feeling good and wanted me to stay home with her instead of the babysitter. Turned out that she had a low grade fever. Hope it doesnt become worst as her first day of school is on Monday.

Bott: What evidence to you base that on?

I'm only glad that they are there. It's hard to be the only deafblind person who needs video translation so I'm only glad for their company.

Souggy is Deaf and low vision and lives in canada.
CJB is blind and losing hearing and I'm not altogether sure where he lives?

Mrs. Bucket posted that suspicion and I was checking who seemed very similar who joined close together.

And I am deaf and blind in one eye Dreama, so it's not like I have anything against the deaf/blind.

I am beginning to regret agreeing to dog sit until Wednesday. I am ALLERGIC to this dog! I have two dogs of my own and never had any problems with being allergic to dogs. But this pooch! Is adorable, a Beagle. Are they more prone to trigger allergies than other dogs? I can not give this dog a bath, because he was just fixed last Wednesday.

Guess I am going to have to invest in more allergy medicine.

Things just frustrate me sometimes. Usually it's how some people are so much luckier in life than others. I guess you could call it jealousy.

The first reason I am thinking of right now is that so many people I know have been able to get part-time jobs and are already making money for university (which is coming in 2 years). I have already applied at so many places and have had one job interview (in April ) and it just makes me angry that I am unable to get a job but they are. It makes me wonder what they've got that I don't. I really hate blaming it on my looks and the fact that I'm HOH, but sometimes I wonder if that is part of the reason why I'm not getting chosen (everyone, please don't be offended by that... I know we can do things just like everyone else but some people are still ignorant... especially in a rural area).

The way I look is the other thing... I am currently trying to win a battle against my weight. I am really trying to lose weight, but the lack of support and the lack of motivation has really gotten to me. It has only been the past few days where I've really been taking it seriously and watching what I eat (+ my daily regular exercise). I'm actually really proud of myself for doing that... but I'm worried that it won't last long. The jealousy comes into play when I think about why I have to be the one who carries that extra weight and looks ugly. I'd like to point out to you all that I've been told by people that I greatly overexaggerate my weight... I'm not even 200 pounds... but I am in the 190s and I'm in the 5'3"-4" range.

I just wonder why people judge me so quickly... just based on the fact that maybe I look a little nerdy and fat... but some people just don't bother giving me a chance. I'm just jealous that some people have it all... looks, lots of friends, etc.

There's a couple other more personal problems as well, but the things I have just mentioned are the ones that we just on my mind.

Loghead, I don't want to be trite and minimize your problems, but high school is a time when lots of people feel just like you.

It does get better in time. If you can't earn enough for college, I am sure you can get grants and loans.

If it gets bad enough, you could ask to speak to a counselor at your school.

Maybe someone here who is more your age group could give you a little advice or help.

Oh I see. So it was just a guess. But Souggy isn't all that new. Maybe Mrs Bucket will clear that up when she comes back. It's probably two other newbies?

oh! I wasn't aware that loghead is a high school student. yes Bott is right. High school is always a very difficult time for pretty much all of us. HS years is a brief (yet feels long) time period for all of us because it is when we're starting to be more self-aware and self-conscious about ourselves. Some youths' maturity was "late"... which is why they're jerks and when they see something too "matured" for them, they make fun of you. of course.. they're simply masking their immaturity and "small man complex" and we all know that they will not fare well in life once their cute little high school fantasy life is over.

That's what happened to some jerks from my high school. They were once very popular and had all the girls in high school.... and now this guy is filling up gas for my car.

You will notice that many many people have changed a lot when going to college or wherever. Funny thing is... the people who you thought they would never be your friend back in HS will become your friend later on.
