Happy Father's Day to the fathers and grandfathers, including my father, whom has been gone for 25 years now.

I missed my grandfather (passed away 1997) and my dad (passed away 2006 which i did not know until last year my mom told me - Oy Vey!) this year to celebrate "Happy Father's day" and to myself too!!!! I haven't heard from my boys lately...... Oh well!!!

Anyway, to other absent Grandfathers/Fathers - Happy Father's day in Rest In Peace or somewhere else!

for candle lighting, DeafLissa -

remembering all fathers/father figures, as well as the potential in fathers who couldn't/did not show love in a way that would be considered "positive".

I will see my beloved dad tonight:

I miss my dad however he and I are about 3,000 miles away.

My father in law is about 5 hours away from us....so we'll give him a call later.

My adopted dad/real grandpa (he adopted me when I was about 2ish) passed when I was only 4 and half years old.

I miss my grandpa and my dad very much. I see my FIL few times a year....

Happy Father's day to all daddies, Grandpas, Godfathers, etc etc!

I just thought it would be a good idea. It also gives me time to reflect on good memories with my father such as playing football in the field one summer. Everytime i go pass the field I look at the same tree and remember the fun we had

Wow, very touching. Happy Father's Day to my late Grandpa.

Also wanted to add Happy Father's Day to those who lost their lives serving their country and protecting the public.

It's nice of you, Lissa.

I think it's better to have a lousy father than lost a beloved father or to grow up without a father since I never knew him nor never have a father in my life... =/

Happy Father Day to y'all ADers

That's nice of you Lissa... but fortunately, Both sets of grandfather and Dad are still alive. But I have a feeling that my grandpa may not live by the time next father's day comes around.

You have a good heart Lissa

I just noticed this thread today, very touching one. I would wish my late grandfather (paternal) and my maternal grandpa who passed away before I was born a happy father's day

In remembrance of my father who was 90 years old when he passed away in 2003 and now it is all over for Father's Day. Last Sunday, at the Powwow ground for Aboriginal Day even on Father's Day, I say my own quiet prayer for my Dad to have peace and love in the spirit world. I do miss my Dad and I know that he had to go when it is time.

I want to light the candle for his passing.

What a wonderful sentiment! Here's to my father, and my son's father. Both of whom are missed much.

Hugs, Lissa, and everybody else. I miss my grandparents, especially my dads dad as I never knew him. I'll give my dad a big hug and not complain when he watches sports all day :-)

I miss both grandfathers and my uncle. I miss my father a bunch (he died in 1991) and I also miss my FIL (died last year).

Happy Father's day to all Father's, Grandfathers, Great-Grandfathers and Step-Fathers.
