Oh? Which you don't know or lost someone, who is related to you, in your life?

I did not realize it was a racial slur. but it all depends on how it is used.

I was using this definition.
oh don't worry. I'm sure you meant no harm. I was just poking fun at you. I just thought it was funny that you said it cuz I haven't heard anybody (especially white person) saying it in a long long while

What really got to me is that he wanted me to start going to bed by 11 pm each night immediately cause he's starting school this monday. I wasn't prepared for that since he's never had a problem with me sleeping at any hour in the past 10 years. Even when I was going to school and preparing for finals, I didn't mind him having his laptop on while I was going to bed at night. What made it worse is that he now doesn't want me to have my laptop on when he's asleep cause it's too bright. Well, he didn't mind my laptop being on while I was in school and just told me now that it bothers him. Then all day yesterday he was telling me that he feels like I've been attacking him all day. I was like, wtf? what do you mean by that? He didn't really explain it so I dropped the conversation and went to bed. This morning he was like, "Are we cool!?" I said, "yeah" so we don't talk about it any further. Deep inside, I wasn't cool yet cause I need the time to sort this out myself. He gets on my nerves cause he's expecting me to be all right at any moment he chooses. It's not a part of who I am and I basically avoided him all day to chill out on my own. It's nice having a brother, but he's not the best roomate.

What made me happier was dreaming about my girlfriend. She makes me the happiest man ever.
you live with your brother on same bed or room?

Yes, I know what you do mean. That is why I dislike this day, too.

I'm really sorry about your loss.

Personally, I never know who my father is and all grew up without a father. =/ Oh, well...

Lissa,

I didn't even know today was Father's Day until I read Shel's thread. My father passed away when I was 28. Although he didn't treat me well as a child, he taught me the meaning of having a loving relationship with his wife as well as how to spend money wisely. May he rest in peace for those valuable lessons. Here's a to you and everyone else on AD who are missing their dear fathers.

You're welcome.

Although I have a great deal of anger towards my father for the way he treated me, I mourn his loss today for the reasons I mentioned.

Try to hang in there. Today will be over before you know it.

I'm feeling pretty good.... I'm going to Portland to my Grandma's house, to visit my grandparents and I just found out that my parents are coming down from Olympia to visit my grandparents so I get to see my Dad for a while before heading back home. They're gonna make dinner for my grandparents and I thought that was really nice of them.

I made it through Father's Day and am very relieved about that. I spent some time recalling memories of the things we did together as a family as well as the lessons he taught me despite the way I was abused. I won't lie. I'm glad today is over because I really do not like holidays and never have ever since my parents passed away in 1999 and 2004.

I am in a good mood myself. The weather was rainy this morning which depressed me, but it wasn't long before the sun came out. It was HOT today which I loved. I walked to the grocery store as well as the drugstore. I also spent some time outdoors talking to my neighbors. Now I'm about to have a small bowl of ice cream before getting ready to turn in for the night.

I'm starting to feel better but I do have a bad cough which I'm currently taking medication for and also a runny nose which I think is due to hayfever(its been so warm recently)

I'm off for a fun filled day tomorrow at an amusement park, donuts and lots of fun!!

Hi, all! I am feeling excited because I just finished work and my neighbor is going to teach me to drive a new little tractor I got at a tag sale two weeks ago! I want to hook a little cart to it for yard work.

Thank you for the hug dogmom. <hugs back>

I'm feeling irritable today and I don't know why. The sun is shining so you'd think that alone would put me in a good mood.

It seems like the smallest things are setting me off.

Hopefully my mood will improve later this evening.
