I am organinsing a elementary school 10 year reunion later this year and a lot of students from the same class I was with is aware of it, since the word has spread which took me by surprise which is good. But I need some help! I need some similar ideas where I can host the reunion, yes yes I am the host, here. Throw me some ideas please!

How long was that 10 years? 5 years? What was the fun part there. Do tell!

wow, elementary school reunion. I've never heard of such a thing. It would be funny to create an obstacle course on the very playgrounds you played on many inches of heigth and pounds of weight ago. A case of school milk to the winner. :giggle:

Oh, what did you do in there, catch up with old friends, yeah?

Hahaha, that's funny -- but the school system we have here is different, we don't get school milk.

1999 was my last time for elementary school then started middle school in fall 1999.

Nothing, you want a drink you buy it from the caferiea

I went to elementary reunion was happened in 2006, i went to mainstream school when i was kid in 1988 [18 years]. In 2006, there are MANY students that are CHANGED and DIFFERENT. WOW, it was cool of my old classmates kept track of whereabouts of us [thanks to facebook and myspace]. I enjoyed a lot to catch up with old classmates and good memories. My old classmate, Richard who hosted the reunion was at class where we first started met and grew up together in same class since K to 5th grade [6 years]. It was badass when our old principal and school boards allow us to have this opportunity. It is FUN!

i remember that when we were at cafeteria, we always call cooker, "Mad Godzilla" because he is BIG,TALL, and CHUBBY [because we were kids and small n innocent]. That cooker is always grumpy because of kids wasted foods that wasted his time to cook. We come in and asked teacher, "Can we see Mad Godzilla?". Teacher will say, "no". Funny. [when we had reunion, we DID talked about that!].

It is well worth to catch up with old fellas. Jake, i think it will be BADASS when you host IN elementary school OR playgrounds when y'all FIRST met.

If money is an issue, you could host a reunion picnic at a park. It shouldn't cost that much, and it would be fun. People could bring different kinds of foods, sort of like a potluck there. Brats, hot dogs, chips, hamburgers, etc.

But if you can afford a lot, you could rent a large conference room in a hotel.

Other than that, I don't really have many ideas. I missed my 10 years reunion because the reunion was in Wisconsin and I live in Texas, and I do not have the money for a round-trip plane ticket and I do not have the money for a motel, and I don't really like staying with other people, and I absolutely REFUSE to stay with my parents as my dad and his wife were extremely ABUSIVE to me in many different ways before they tossed me away to the state as if I was trash, and my own mother passed away in 1990.

I recommend you to ask your high school principal to "rent" their facility like gym room or field. I don't see no reason for principal to reject your idea but if that is no go. Then you should create a fund for all of them to chip in so that you can rent a place such as conference room of hotel plus catering service.

I have been researching a little bit yesterday and thinking a lot over last night, and this is the biggest task in my life. And the ideas I have thought of is below

-- Rent a function room, where we can get some drinks, cocktails and few beers. Get invovled with a school trivia game, and some floor music. They are all $$$ but, I can ask the students of 'Class of 1999' to chip in - if possible.

--- But jiro's idea isnt too bad to see if I can contact the headmaster and see if I can use their hall (gym) but there are some side effects, some people wouldn't want to go there to have a reunion they better off somewhere else.

I have booked a function room for June 26th 2009 for the school reunion. All I need to worry is the enterntainment! :run:

JC, I have never heard of an elementary school reunion before, only high school reunion. My high school was shut down and not a school anymore. We used to rent another place like a park or a building where we can just talked and showed pictures of ourselves as kids. It is like going down the memory lane and asked ourselves what we are doing as Adults like jobs, colleges, romantic relationships and etc. I remembered we don't have that much activities unless someone brought like a frisbe to throw between two people or among us. Maybe a volley ball or baseball to play might do the trick. We also had a barbecue which we had hamburgers and hot dogs like a picnic. :hmm:

The reunion is going to be happening next friday! :eek3: :run: I am the host. :cool2:

Oh no! Do you have place to meet

I am looking forward to my elementary reunion in September. I can't believe it, most of them found me via facebook. I am so glad to be in touch bec elementary school was so much fun than high school for me.
