whoa Byrdie.... you're SO lucky to have cell phone with you. I have a lower back problem and I know exactly how you feel. I couldn't get up due to my back problem twice in my life. It was a horrible and painful experience. My mom had to help me get up the bed and it took like an hour. It was exhausting.

Since then.... I worked out to strengthened the back muscle and I haven't gotten much back problem. What's wrong with yours? Mine was due to weak muscle support around the lower back and a horrible muscle hypertension.

btw - did EMT break in or wha? was the door unlocked?

What started it was that I was pianting a bathroom and when I went to straightend myself up--I backed into the bathroom sink--HARD.

The EMT's came into my kitchen as it was opened. I was walking into the kitchen when the swinging door hit my back and that's how I ended up on the floor.

Glad you are ok Byrdie!

I finally finished my dental work yesterday. The tooth in front of the one that got a crown had to be filled! My jaw is very sore and I have a headache!

The dentist did compliment my dental hygiene. Since I got a crown and a filling both, I thought that was weird. Maybe he thought he should say something nice since I was giving him so much money.

I tried calling a friend of mine to see if they were in the area to no avail since I had the cell phone on me.

So I called 911. " What's your emergency?" said the operator.

"I've fallen and I can't get up!"

While I was waiting for 911 to come, I tried to see if I was able to roll on my side to no avail since I have a lower back problem.

The ambulance arrived--thank god--no lights-- and came in and after 10 minutes, got me up again!

This morning I have to go back to chiropractor and luckily this time around--I'll have somebody with me to make sure I get back into the house okay!
Wow! Good thing you are ok!

Angela Lansbury. I liked her 80s series with "Murder, She Wrote".

6'9!
6'9.. wow! For once in my life, I'd give anything to look down at people than look up!

It must be a strain on your back or joints being that tall??

I'm 10" shorter than that, and it's already a strain on my head every time I go down to my mom's, and I hit my head on the door jam because it's too low.

I'm feeling a little better today but still have to watch it.

There is an occasional flare up of pain.

yes it does... the curse of being tall. Even though I'm only 5'6".... my torso is "abnormally" longer than normal... which is a typical problem found in tall people.

I didn't know that Jiro.

I'm 5'3 and I don't like being short. The doctor measured me and said I was actually 5'2 and a half but I rounded it off. Who's going to know the difference?

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps has a freakishly long torso.

Are you a good swimmer, Jiro?

Is it wrong for me to be jealous of a CODA? I know one and his skills are freaking amazing!! Here I am struggling and tearing my hair out by the root to learn this (awesome) language and then there's...HIM. He fools deaf people all the time. They always seem suprised when he reveals he's a hearie.

Ha! We won't see snow here until probably January or early February and it'll only last about a week. The rest of the time its warm enough for mosquitos. I swatted one off my arm this afternoon when I got off work and I was like ICK its bloody November, those little farts should have been long dead by now.

There is no need to be jealous of a CODA. Im deaf/hoh as well but I grew up in an all oral environment and Im in the learning process of ASL. It doesnt come over night, but don't give up. Just spend more time practicing with your friends and you'll come along.

Are you a good swimmer, Jiro?
yes if I recall correctly he is quite literally built like a fish. His hands and feet are bigger than normal for a guy of his size. His arm span is longer than his hieght and he has bony ankles wich makes him more streamlined in the water.
